These guys are gorgeous, what can we say?! We have been planning Justine and Dave's engagements session for a few months now, but due to busy schedules, we weren't able to nail down a date until a few weeks ago! The location for this shoot is particularly special to both of them because it is where they had one of their first dates and where Dave ultimately proposed to Justine! There is even a wooden bench with their names carved on it!
Colleen & Kyle | Orchard View Wedding | Dec. 30, 2017
Colleen and Kyle's big day had everything you could ever want from a winter wedding! First, it was Gatsby-themed, so naturally, the decorations were inspired by the 1920s-era, from their sitting chart to the table menus. There were these prohibition crate boxes where their wedding favours were placed, and their care had these beautiful gold flakes. Their attire, too, was inspired by the era. The ladies had feather flappers for hairpieces and a matching fur shaw for the cold, while the gents had suspenders; the ring bearer even had this adorable tweed newsboy hat!!!!
Where in Ottawa: The ByWard Market | A BLOG SERIES ON OTTAWA BEST LOCATIONS FOR WEDDING AND ENGAGEMENT SESSION
The ByWard Market is near and dear to so many Ottawans' heart. It is at the center of the city, and as such, many events and activities are hosted there. It houses so many unique shops, boutiques, and restaurants. There is literally a place for everyone at the Market. Do you want to go to a fancy restaurant? Just take your pick along York Street. Do you want to "escape" a room with friends? You got Escape Manor right there. Do you want fantastic gelato, even in the dead of winter? Stop by Mantovani on Murray Street. The point is that we love the ByWard market because there is always something going on there, it is never dull. So, why have your engagement or wedding photos taken there? Here are some good reasons why!
Carla and Chris' Engagement at Princess Louise Falls, Ottawa
Bethany & Cameron - Ottawa Rowing Club | August 26, 2017
Couples sometimes struggle to make their wedding day reflect who they are as individuals and as a couple. Bethany and Cameron's beautiful wedding was anything but that! Every aspect of their wedding from their clever centerpieces to their tear-jerking vows reflected the things they love, showed the places they have been, and celebrated the relationships they've built along the way.
