What a year!! 2017 was a fantastic year for us here at Mocha Tree Studios! We accomplished so much more than we had imagined and we are so very grateful to all our couples, fellow vendors, friends and family who continue to support us in this journey. Thank you for enabling us to do what we love! We would like to mention notable successes, which makes us very proud of our team:
- Over 30 weddings for photography and videography combined!
- Over 20 engagement sessions!
- Rebranded to Mocha Tree Studios and launched our wedding videography services
- Showcased our work in our first ever wedding show with Bridal Palace at Shaw Centre
- Almost fully booked for 2018!
Bonus: Joined the drone-game and got ourselves a Phantom 4!!
Without further ado, here are some of our favorite images from 2017. Some you may have seen already, some we have been waiting for the right time to show!
Engagement
Carla and Chris' engagement at Princess Louis Falls was a dream come true for us at Mocha Tree Studios as we have been dying to photograph one of our couples with it as the background!
Getting Ready
Danielle made a gorgeous bride! Check out those eyes!! Her getting-ready photos were all fantastic but this one takes the prize!
Portrait of the Bride
We chose this photo for its simplicity and for its unconventional way of showing off the bride. Here is Erica with just her veil and robe writing her vow to Yohan.
Wedding Details
We cannot stress enough the value of spending a little bit more on wedding details! Eli and South's wedding was a wedding-detail-wonderland. This shot of her Badgley Mischka heels is something we always show off to our potential couples!
Wedding Ceremony
Julia and Phil's wedding at the gorgeous Stonefields was magical. They were both so in love that it permeated in every aspect of their wedding day. Their outdoor ceremony was beyond words!
Bride and Groom
The silent moment, the emotion, the holding on tightly, the hair blowing, the foreheads touch!! What can I say? Maude and Juan Miguel are stunning!
The Bridal Party
This was such a windy day that the walk across that long bridge for Eli and South's first look required the help of all her bridesmaids!
Humour
We love it when the bridal party have pranks and jokes in store for the couple. Here Malissa and James were surprised by their bridal party with Mexican wrestler mask reminiscent of their time spent together in Mexico!
Reception
We had such a tough time with picking our favourite reception photo. I feel like I have one from every wedding. Here though, we have Tana and Brock's reception party where Tana just tossed the bouquet. Everything in motion makes for a pretty memorable photo!
