Jill and Donny Wedding Saunder's Farm Ottawa

We had the remarkable honour of capturing Jill and Donny's wedding at Saunders last summer. If the amount of fun we had frolicking with their adorable pup Ruby around Bruce Pit for their engagement session was any indication, we knew we would have a blast capturing their big day! Jill and Donny are such genuinely nice people with personalities that draw you in. They share a love for travelling, for Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, and for animals.

Their woodsy wedding was a perfect match for our style of photography. We are always drawn to the deep, rich brown, green, and even reddish hues that a forest provides, and Saunders Farm had plenty of striking backdrops. It rained a little bit after the ceremony, but it made for even better lighting as everything shimmered with wetness.

Jill looked stunning. The earthy tones in the background made her elegant white gown stand out even more. She stood out as the crown jewel at this gorgeous wedding, and we loved capturing the excitement and love beaming from Donny and Jill throughout their big day.

While it did rain, the reception definitely had that warm and wispy feeling you only get in summer evenings. They had these amazing doughnuts for dessert (Sabina and I had one each!). The speeches were equally heartwarming and funny, and at the end of the night, fire pits glowed as friends and family reminisced and laughed around them. We were inspired by all of the love and support that Jill and Donny’s friends so sincerely demonstrate. I do not doubt that they are well-prepared to set out for their lifelong adventure together. Congrats, Donny and Jill!
