In the first few email exchanges I had with Alex, she told me that her wedding "will be quite different from what you would normally expect." In many ways, she was right! You don't often expect a giant inflatable gorilla in the front yard declaring the couple's love for each other (#shaneisbananas4alex) or that the groom would be wearing Hawaiian shirts during the wedding.
Looking at the photos now, Alex and Shane's wedding is exactly what you would expect from an event that is meant to celebrate the intense love between two people and mark the joining of their awesome families. I am glad to have been a been part of it.
